tick tick

The minutes keep ticking, days roll into weeks which become years. ‘Redeeming the time,’ redeem means to buy up and rescue from loss. This is a a line from Ephesians 5:14-16, it goes on to say ‘because the days are evil,’ evil means hurtful. The key is the word ‘time’ its not talking about chronological time but rather kairos time, which means occasion, set time, due season. God’s calendar time for you and me.

We move from due season to due season by redeeming the kairos’s of God, rescuing it from loss. They can be missed or uncompleted. Not to recognize Gods opportune seasons and fail to accurately discern what is required will cause you loss and hurt.

Natural time is not the dominating factor in redeeming a kairos. One preacher shared that the way you get from one kairos to the next is by meeting the requirements of it and completing it. If you don’t there is no next kairos, you are stuck until it is completed. Tick tick tick, the chronos clock keeps ticking.

It’s possible for us as individuals and organizations to not move forward but go around in circles processing the same old things. the Lord said to me once that “process doesn’t always equal progress.’

What opportune season are you in? Do you know what He is after? We can get lost in a world of circumstances, we need have the Lord lift us up and give us accurate prophetic sight of our own lives.

Don’t finish chronos with your Kairos time incomplete, that’s a tragedy.
