Through to the next round

How do we progress in God? How do we move from where we are to a fresher stronger position? The Israelites’ in the desert have escaped Egypt miraculously and are on the way to the Promised land. Most don’t survive the desert journey. What was God after? Why did they perish? After a bible study last night the Lord showed me a picture of an Israelite coming out of his tent during the desert journey, which lasted 40 years. They never knew how long they would be camped in each spot, a lot of unknowns. He throws open the flap on his tent lifts his hands in the air and smiling says “another bright sun shiny day”. The Lord said to me he’s through to the next round, that’s all I’m after.

In the midst of our faith journey have we got a different spirit, one that is not circumstantially controlled. Complaining, sulking, moaning, unbelief etc guarantee no progress and promotion. A joyful spirit that continually celebrates God even when things are not clear that’s a spirit that will get us through to the next round. We wont sulk and pout our way through to breakthrough.

We personally have a lot of unknowns in our situation at the moment but the Lord has said our posture is to be one of, expectancy, joy and excitement. He requires that of us now before everything is clear and manifest. We don’t even know what He is up to next, but our excitement, expectancy and joy are in Him not in our circumstances.

To live above what life brings our way is our accurate position, we are in Him and He is seated above it all.
