Knowledge verses possession

At some point for the knowledge to to be effective it has to be acted on. Being conscious of the need for exercise and healthy eating needs to translate into action. We can want to be healthy active people but at some point if we don’t act on the knowledge we will live in “I wish, or if only land”. Admiring those who have done it but never possessing if for ourselves. At some point they embraced some self discipline and changed their lifestyle.

The Lord challenged me a while ago about a ministry that I really liked. He said stop admiring them from afar and do it yourself. I had to bring fresh discipline to my thinking, to my speech, not allowing my heart to get bent out of shape at the drop of a hat. No one else could do this for me. It’s got to move me from knowing that’s a good way to live to doing it, by reason of use making it my own. Possessing it, making it part of who I am.

Am I an overnight sensation? No far from it. The ministry I was talking about says people say to her “I tried that but it didn’t work for me” and her answer was “honey it’s not something you try. It’s the only path to walk, you got to stick with it. Every morning when I wake up I seek to take control of my inner dialogue and match it to what He has said and is saying.

The seed of Gods life in you can overcome any obstacle, in the parable of the sower every seed was capable of producing 100%. Don’t be intimidated by the length of the journey, start today. Victory is a habit. Your spiritual DNA says, from strength to strength from victory to victory. The excuse of I can’t is a lie what we are really saying is I won’t. the truth is we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Even beat ourselves.
