Bread won’t do it
Bread alone won’t do it, Jesus said if you want to live the key to listen and respond to “every word that’s proceeding out of God’s mouth” concerning you. Are we full? I know when my tummy say’s need food now. Our spirit man is energized and needs to be filled to point of overflow with what God is saying. Going to a meeting to get fed, waiting for a word from someone etc, relying on someone else to tell us what He is presently saying.. No this will not do.
There is a river flowing in each of us filled with His voice, to hear from others is awesome but it is not our main supply. In this global call to maturity that inner dialogue between the Lord and us needs to be strong. Do you know what He is saying, do you remember what He has said. If you do and allow that to become the dominant source in your life you will come alive, in God. If you don’t you will always need someone else, you will remain needy and never mature into your God given potential.
I have been working on what I call “an inner dialogue of faith”. A to and fro with the Lord where I hear what He’s saying and then speak it out to myself until it becomes established. Seeking for that to shape my world of thoughts, feelings and actions. Time to grow up. Often everything I hear Him saying is in direct contradiction to my circumstances. Choice time, agree with what I see in the natural or agree with what He is saying.
I love bread but bread alone won’t even go close to getting it done.
